"craigslist refund???"
 
did anyone else get emails like this today?? i received like 10 different emails saying my card would be refunded but i havent received anything yet??

I got the same email. I am still waiting on them to refund the money they took from my card when my ad got rejected.

   I've explained this before. CL places a *hold* for the amount of the ad known as pre-authorization. If the ad isn't accepted the hold is removed and the held amount freed. CL NEVER kept anyone's money unless the ad was approved, well perhaps during a very rare glitch.

Some banks take longer than other to free up pre-auth or hold, this is the banks policy. I don't understand why some people think CL has some scam or conspiracy set up.

The same sort of timing can be found when you return an item, the refund or reversal may happen right away or take more than a few days.

NOW the CL has censored the AS area, it's not longer an issue. I prefer being able to post ad complain a bit. What's interesting is that the black bar that says Censored. It could be a legal play for 1st amendment rights, perhaps this is a strategy? Let's hope so!

I recieved the same email, only thing though is it depends on your credit card company and their procedure. My credit card company said my refunds wont be back on my card for 7 days.

   Your right it depends on the Credit Card company I received my refunds back the same day...;)

I did not recieve a refund, instead all my pending transactions for CL got posted on my card today and now I am out 60. Does anyone know how to get in contact with CL over the phone?

i called yesterday because i had not received my refun yet and the lady told me it takes anywhere from 1-10 days depending on your bank. CL IS REFUNDING ALL ACTIVE ADS THAT WERE POSTED AND LIVE ON THE SITE WHEN THEY SHUT IT DOWN. atleast they are doin that. *Big Birls Have More Fun!!*
