"Break In To Residence/Private Incall"

First I would like to say after reading this post about a week ago. I felt that a Residence Incall is best as long as you screen screen screen which is what I always do..
http://forum.myredbook.com/cgi-bin/dcforum2/dcboard.pl?az=show_thread&om=38875&forum=DCForumID21&viewmode=all

Well everything has changed in my eyes since yesterday when my Residence/Private incall was broken into. I am still VERY shock and scared about the whole situation. My door was busted in with numberous items stolen as well as 2 knives on the ground near the door! (i have no clue what it meant!)

Yes, I will admit that my private incall was my lovely home as well. Because of it being the place where I layed my head I ALWAYS did strict screening but I've only been seeing regulars in the past 6 months and haven't been seeing any new clients in the Sac area.

I will NEVER use the place I lay my head as a Private Incall anymore! Even tho' I have no clue who would've done this.

I'm blessed and happy that I wasn't home and they did not harm my puppy Milo..he is a little tramtized whenever going back there but it isn't the same!

Now I don't even feel comfortable staying and havent been there since! My whole outlook on incalls are totally different now!

Now it will be a pain financially as well as moving! I'm just trying to stay positive!

Providers lets all be safe please!

   Jordyn,
You are so thoughtful to share this with other providers. There is no way to know if this was a random break-in or if it was caused by using your home as an incall. But it is good to know for providers who do use their home as an incall. I don't do it personally, but I can imagine that it would be so convenient that it is tempting.*

Thank God you were not home when it happened. What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. It must be hard to have to move without the benefit of planning. Sounds like your puppy will be glad to be in a new space.

This picture makes me think that I am glad the door to my home is all metal. It looks like it was possible to break through the wood.

Let me know if you need anything.

*I have always thought it would be less frustrating to get flaked on if I were using my home as an incall. I guess the two call system is one way to minimize the disruption of flaking. If you don't get the confirmation call an hour before, you figure he might be flaking, so you plan accordingly.

omg
Thanks for sharing, I for one always really appreciate when we speak out about this fucked up shit!
It seems somebody right in that hotel was figuring out something and targeted you? did you call the police? And the knife thing, super violent. I bet he's done it before and multi arrests...but he sounds young...
watching too much of something.

close your eyes and pretend I'm a girl.

I have always had others tell me that I should never work our of my home but I did always when it was possible and I have never had any problems. So this is not always the way it works. That's just my thoughts on this subject.

Jordyn, I'm so sorry you had this experience. How upsetting for you, omg. I feel helpless to offer anything except moral support. I hope you and Milo will quickly find a nice peaceful place to live.

I see clients where I live, have for years. I've been lucky in my "choice" of neighbors, people who look out for each other and yet mind their own business. I think that's the reason why I've had so few problems here. So far so good. This is a risky business.

Jordyn I am so sorry to hear about the break-in. It sounds more like a random thing to me. I am very glad to hear that Milo is ok even though he was scared by the experience. My home was broken into a few years ago. It is very upsetting to know that someone was going through your things. Since then I have installed an alarm system (which is connected to the police dept), security doors and have 2 dogs. Even with the hot weather the security door is always locked and the alarm set when I leave the house. Depending on the time of day the dogs are either outside or inside. I don't want to make it easy for anyone to get in.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I've never worked out of my home, but my home was broken into many years ago, so I know some of the emotional trauma that you are going through. You just feel sooo violated. That pic of the door looks crazy. I always say I would never work out of my home, but you never know. Sometimes you may be in a situation where you have to. We live and learn though. I am really sorry again, and if you need someone to talk to, please inbox me. Hugs. xoxoxo, Mia
