Yes, It has happened to me before, but I have said two different things, Oh Im sorry mam I dialed the wrong number, and then she asks who were you trying to call, so I just made up a different number. Also I have had one of my regulars called me, and I was busy missed their call, called them back, and then wife was in background, (heard ladies voice) so basically I played the role as I was wondering if you can cover my shift between these hours, because Im running a little late. (Only works if you know what your client does for a living)

Another thing to be very aware of...
A wife pretending to be a provider asking for a reference on HER HUSBAND!!! lol
ALWAYS ask for the providers RB handle, google her number, make SURE she's a provider.

"Oh yes...Tom's a GREAT client! I've seen him for years!"

and I was texting him about work
and after about oh 20 mins of texting
his wife/girlfriend shows herself in the texts
and tells me to stay away from him

lol all i wanted was to get to my calls!!...

YES, exactly.
There is a huge flaw in the Reference system..
Discretion is an important part of our work. Shouldn't the privacy of the client be respected as much as the safety of another "provider".
I never see this discussed.
Unless the client asks me to serve as a reference, I don't do it.
If a guy wants to use my name as his reference, he can tell/ask me and I'm happy to comply.
Giving references is a favor I will do for clients. If the client wants to see her he probably already did this stuff...
ALWAYS ask for the providers RB handle, google her number, make SURE she's a provider.
